Using Ancestry.com Efficiently

Ancestry.com is a popular website for beginners and advanced building of your family tree.  The resources and records are extensive and information can overlap or may seem like your ancestor, but maybe it is not.  Learn how to use Ancestry.com without polluting your family Tree.  Beware of Hints! They can be great, but need to be approached with great caution.

Learn strategies to make the most efficient use of the Profile Page and Gallery to display your research findings from ancestry and other sources.   “The Great Debate” will be discussed:   Should you share your research on a public tree or keep it private?

The presentation will be given by Lou Corrigan, genealogist and researcher.

Even if you do not use ancestry.com, many tips apply to a variety of family research methods.

The public is invited to this free program, given by the Burlington Genealogical Society, on Wed. March 15, 2017; 7-9 pm.

The program will be at Burlington Gateway’s  HERO Center (Health and Emergency Response Occupations Center) Room 101; at 380 McCanna Parkway, Burlington, Wisconsin.  It is the building on the left, just before Burlington High School.
