Burlington Area Arts Council (BAAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts and encouraging artists in their creative endeavors. Author's Echo, a writers group, meets the first and third Tuesdays at the Eppers Room, Western Racine County Building, 209 N. Main St. and has public readings of the individual works of area writers.
Burlington Area Garden Club meets monthly, the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at Cross Lutheran Church, focusing on further learning and beautification. Its fundraisers support student scholarships and various garden projects. An annual plant sale and biennial garden tour fund these efforts. Call 262-763-5031 for information.

Burlington Historical Society maintains the Historical Society Museum at 232 N. Perkins Blvd., Whitman School in Schmaling Park on Beloit Street and Pioneer Cabin in Wehmhoff Square. The museum is open Sundays from 1-4 pm and by appointment. When visiting the museum, be sure to relax in the Legacy Garden, adjacent the museum and cabin, which was created and is cared for by the Burlington Area Garden Club. Whitman School is open by appointment. Pioneer Cabin Immigrant 1850 Homestead season begins the first Saturday in May and is open Saturdays from 1-4 pm through the last Saturday of October.
