Happy Cows come from…Sugar Creek Farms!

Dia Kleitch is the master-mind behind grass feed only beef cattle. This is the 8 th year that Dia has raised this special breed of Murray Gray cattle, the Murray Gray are an Australian grazing breed of cattle. Dia currently has 15 cows and is expecting 6 more calves in the spring, bringing her total up to 21 cows.

Grass feed only cattle means that the cows are healthier which in turn means that the meat they produce will also be healthier for us to eat. The cows are eating in a more natural environment which means healthier animals, leaner meat, better for the environment and the Omega 3 fatty acid in grass feed meat is heart healthy. Sugar Creek Farm cows graze on fresh pastures each day and they do not receive growth stimulants or antibiotics.

Sugar Creek Farms also have a vendor booth at the Burlington Farmers' Market if you have questions or would like to purchase any products. At the Farmers' Market you will be able to purchase individual cuts of meat, sample the products, and see demo's on recipe ideas.
