Nature's Niche

Laura Pulda of Nature's Niche stumbled onto an excellent product. Laura always wanted to raise goats, so when the opportunity arose, she jumped. Laura lives on a farmette , as she calls, it where she has been raising her goats for the past 6 years with her family. Laura currently has 4 adult goats plus a few young ones. Laura wanted to use the goat milk that was so quickly being produced, what she came up with was goat milk soap. Laura started very slowly with her soaps; she made them as gifts and only sold them through word of mouth. When the orders and re-orders started coming in though, Laura knew that she was on to something great.

Laura has now mastered the skill of making goats milk soap, it only takes her about 30 minutes to make a batch of soap, unlike when she first started and it would take half the day to make a batch! Laura has 9 different scented soaps that she makes including lavender, rosemary, and grapefruit; she also makes a holiday spice scent around the holidays. Laura's soap product slowly morphed into other products as well, she now also makes lip balms, lotions, body butters, foot balms and soy candles. (The balm products do not contain goat's milk)

One of the most surprising facts about the goats milk soap (other than it leaves your hands silky smooth and smells wonderful) is that it makes an unbelievable stain remover. If you ask Laura about how the stain remover came to be she will tell you a very interesting story of a young girl with a stain on her blouse and nothing would take it out. No soap, no detergent, no matter how hard they scrubbed the stain was stuck, until Laura brought out her goats milk soap. A little scrub of the soap and a rinse under the water and the stain was gone!
